Wife Recorded NJ Teacher's Sexual Assault Of Student Admission, Turned It Over To Police, Authorities Say

A Freehold Township High School teacher, Jesse Heubel, has been ordered to remain jailed after his wife recorded him admitting to sexual contact with a student and turned that recording over to police. Court documents describe more than 30 incidents of sexual assault spanning multiple towns between February and July 2026. A judge denied his release in part due to concern he could pose a danger to both his wife and the victim if freed.
