Urgent Blood Drive Planned At Morristown Medical Center
Atlantic Health System and the New York Blood Center are hosting an urgent two-day blood drive at Morristown Medical Center on July 27 (1 to 7 p.m.) and July 28 (8 a.m. to 8 p.m.) in Kahn Auditoriums A and B, responding to a regional blood shortage that has hit its lowest point since the COVID-19 pandemic. Severe storms around the Fourth of July weekend wiped out roughly 3,000 donations, leaving the region with just a two-day supply overall and less than half a day’s worth of Type O-negative blood. Appointments are strongly encouraged at nybc.org/ahs, parking is validated, and you can give blood every 56 days if eligible.
