If you’re heading westbound on I-80 through Mount Arlington Friday night, expect lane closures starting at 8 p.m. and running until 10 a.m. Saturday, as crews install barriers and restripe the road to shift traffic onto a newly built bridge over Howard Boulevard. That three-lane shift is part of the $65.4 million Bridges over Howard Boulevard replacement project, and the new traffic pattern is expected to stick around until summer 2027 when final paving and landscaping wrap up.
