Tractor-Trailer Fire Closes N.J. Turnpike Lanes During Morning Commute, Officials Say

A tractor-trailer caught fire after a crash on the northbound New Jersey Turnpike near Exit 12 in Carteret Thursday morning, shutting down all northbound lanes and backing up traffic significantly during the commute. A separate truck fire on I-287 south in Franklin, Somerset County was also affecting drivers at the same time.
