Tornadoes, Flash Flooding, Hail In NJ’s Stormy Thursday Forecast

Severe thunderstorms are rolling through New Jersey Thursday afternoon and evening, bringing the threat of damaging winds, hail, isolated tornadoes, and flash flooding mainly south of I-78. The National Weather Service has most of the state under a “slight risk” for severe weather, with a flood watch in effect until 2 a.m. Friday and rainfall rates of 2 to 4 inches per hour possible in the heaviest downpours.
