Runaway Emu Captured After Weeks On The Loose In North Jersey

A runaway emu spent two weeks giving Sussex County the slip before finally being corralled near Colby Drive in Byram, thanks to a community effort involving apple bribes, a temporary shelter, and a lot of patience. The bird, nicknamed “LiMu” by the Hopatcong Animal Shelter, has landed a permanent gig at Space Farms Zoo and Museum.
