Rocket Device Closes Jersey Shore Beach

A rocket-assisted supply line launcher (basically a ship-to-ship rope-shooting rocket) turned up on the beach at Corson’s Inlet State Park Monday, prompting a temporary closure while the State Police Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit came out to remove and destroy it. The park was cleared around 12:30 p.m. and back open by 5 p.m., with no injuries reported.
