Rare Fossilized Shark Tooth Found On Jersey Shore Beach
A Pennsylvania family’s beach-combing trip to Sea Isle City turned into something extraordinary when they pulled a fossilized megalodon tooth out of a rock formation, a find verified by experts at the Cape May Whale Watch and Research Center. The megalodon was the largest carnivorous shark in history, with teeth the size of an adult human hand, and went extinct about 3.6 million years ago.
