Plane Crash That Killed NJ Doctor, Daughter, Granddaughter Happened Seconds After Takeoff, Authorities Say
A Toms River spine and pain specialist, his daughter, and 2-year-old granddaughter died when their plane crashed just 46 seconds after takeoff from Adirondack Regional Airport in upstate New York on July 13. The NTSB’s preliminary report found the aircraft never reached the prescribed climb altitude for obstacle clearance before going down about a mile from the runway and catching fire.
