Pedestrian Killed In Hit-And-Run Route 22 Crash In Watchung, Man Arrested: Prosecutor

A 56-year-old man from Brooklyn was struck and killed by an SUV on Route 22 West in Watchung early Saturday morning, and the driver fled the scene. Daniel Cole, 32, of Piscataway, was later arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident and hindering apprehension after police found his damaged Nissan Pathfinder at his home.
