Pedestrian Injured After Being Hit By An SUV, NJ State Police Say

A pedestrian was struck by a Volkswagen SUV on the Garden State Parkway north in Tinton Falls Tuesday afternoon after running onto the roadway to retrieve a bicycle. The person was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the crash remains under investigation.
