Passaic County Synagogue Burglar Nabbed By Police, Officials Say

A 21-year-old Bergenfield man is accused of using a hammer to smash into Kehillas Beis Sholom Synagogue in Clifton before dawn on Sept. 24, making off with a small amount of cash. Eliyahu Davidovici was arrested a week later and now faces charges including burglary, criminal mischief, and possession of burglary tools, with detention at Bergen County Jail pending court proceedings.
