Passaic Co. Car Dealership Robbery Attempt Leaves 1 Arrested, Another On The Run: Cops

An attempted robbery at Fette Auto dealership on Route 46 in Clifton ended with one suspect in custody after officers chased him through a parking lot, over a fence, and into a nearby intersection before tackling him. Elian Regalado-Vega, 20, of the Bronx was charged with burglary and related offenses after police found him with a window-punch tool, a vehicle master key, and a screwdriver. His accomplice drove off in a dark-colored car and remains at large, and Clifton detectives are asking anyone with information to call 973-470-5908.
