A Sussex County man, Nikenson Jean Mathurin, was convicted on three counts of wire fraud and one count of money laundering after submitting 15 fraudulent PPP and EIDL loan applications loaded with fake payroll records and fabricated business information. He pocketed $2.1 million in pandemic relief funds and now faces decades in prison when he’s sentenced in October.
