North Jersey Cop Stole Reporter's Camera During ICE Jail Clash: Officials
A Sussex County police sergeant faces third-degree theft charges after allegedly stealing a photojournalist’s camera bag, containing about $10,000 in equipment, while the injured reporter was being treated at a hospital during the Delaney Hall protests in Newark. Sergeant Darryl Brown of Sparta was caught thanks to an Apple AirTag hidden in the bag, and a search of his home turned up the missing gear, which was labeled with the journalist’s name and phone number.
