NJ Woman Sues Police After Uncensored Arrest Video Goes Viral
A North Jersey woman is suing the Little Falls Police Department after a records clerk released unedited body camera footage from her domestic violence arrest, showing her exposed breast, in response to an OPRA request. The footage went viral with hundreds of thousands of views, despite the fact that domestic violence records are exempt from public disclosure under New Jersey law and that another party had already demonstrated the video could be censored before sharing.
