NJ Slaps $1M Fine On Data Center In Vineland
New Jersey hit the DataOne data center in Vineland with a $1,072,000 fine after inspectors found the facility quietly added 62 large natural-gas generators without the required air permits. It’s the largest enforcement action against a data center in state history, and it lands right in the middle of a statewide fight over AI data centers, with more than 30 NJ towns having already banned them outright.
