NJ's Lt. Governor Resigns After Sexual Harassment, Ethics Investigation
New Jersey Lt. Governor Dale Caldwell resigned Friday after a four-month independent investigation found he had sexually harassed a female staffer and committed multiple ethics violations, including advocating for a promotion for a romantic partner and bringing personal guests to ticketed events without paying. Governor Mikie Sherrill, who called for his resignation after releasing the findings, has appointed Acting Comptroller Shirley U. Emehelu to serve as Acting Secretary of State ahead of the midterms.
