NJ Residents Could Get $3K, In Addition To ANCHOR: Here’s Why

A proposed federal bill from Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Ro Khanna would tax the country’s 938 billionaires at five percent annually and distribute the proceeds as $3,000 direct payments to anyone in a household earning $150,000 or less. The bill is currently in the Senate Finance Committee and still needs to clear both chambers and the White House before any checks go out, so New Jerseyans shouldn’t spend that money just yet.
