NJ Purging Thousands From The Voter Rolls After Registration 'Error'
New Jersey is purging more than 4,500 people from its voter rolls after a software glitch in the MVC’s automatic registration system accidentally signed up roughly 6,600 non-citizens between 2023 and 2024. Fewer than 400 actually voted and no election outcomes were affected, but Gov. Mikie Sherrill says the state will fix the rolls on its own terms, declining a Trump administration request for personal data on those improperly registered.
