NJ Psychiatrist Traded Drugs For Sex, Authorities Say

A 73-year-old New Jersey psychiatrist has pleaded guilty to 17 counts of issuing fraudulent prescriptions, trading drugs including Adderall, Xanax, and Vyvanse to patients in exchange for sexual favors, images, or videos. Louis Morelli, who ran a practice in Smithville, admitted that at least one prescription contributed to a death or serious injury, and he has since surrendered his medical and DEA certifications ahead of his October sentencing.
