NJ Man Threatened Woman, Had Illegal Gun Cache, Police Say

Austin Babcock, 29, of Hardyston was arrested after a Franklin Borough woman reported he threatened to shoot her with firearms, according to Sussex County authorities. A search of his residences turned up a rifle with a scratched-off serial number, a semi-automatic handgun, hollow point ammunition, and high-capacity magazines, leading to charges including weapons defacement and possession of prohibited firearms.
