NJ Man Arrested After New Year's Day Slaying, Officials Say

A Paterson man, David Lawrence, 41, was arrested more than eight months after a New Year’s Day shooting on Market Street left one man dead and another hospitalized. Lawrence faces charges including first-degree murder, attempted murder, and weapons offenses, and the state has filed for pretrial detention.
