NJ Lawmakers Urge State To Release IDs Of Noncitizen Voters

A software glitch in New Jersey’s Motor Vehicle Commission system accidentally registered roughly 6,600 noncitizens to vote between 2023 and 2024, with fewer than 400 of them going on to cast ballots. Now Republican lawmakers are pushing the state to release the names of everyone caught up in the error, while the Sherrill administration says it has already begun removing more than 4,500 of those registrations and is reviewing the rest to avoid stripping anyone who is legitimately eligible.
