New Jersey Declares State Of Emergency In 8 Counties Ahead Of Nor’easter
A nor’easter is bearing down on New Jersey, prompting Governor Mikie Sherrill to declare a State of Emergency in eight counties (Atlantic, Burlington, Cape May, Cumberland, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, and Salem) ahead of the storm’s expected peak Saturday night into Sunday morning. Over 21,000 customers were already without power Saturday morning, coastal bridges were closed due to flooding, and forecasters warn conditions will get worse before they get better. Residents are urged to charge phones, stock up on essentials, and stay off the roads.
