Morristown OK's $60M Budget: See Tax Hikes
Morristown has approved a $60.6 million municipal budget for 2026-27, with a 3.25 percent tax levy increase that adds roughly $207 a year to the average resident’s bill. That stings a bit more given the Morris School District just passed its own $155 million budget, meaning the typical Morristown homeowner is looking at a combined tax increase of more than $500 annually. Officials say the higher spending is driven by rising personnel costs, pensions, and utilities, with the town also funding $3.65 million in capital projects covering roads, parks, and pool improvements.
