Morristown Intro’s 2026 Budget, See Tax Hike
Morristown has introduced a $60.6 million municipal budget for 2026-27, up about $1.2 million from last year, with a 3.25 percent tax levy increase driven by rising healthcare, pension, and salary costs. If adopted, the average homeowner would pay roughly $207 more per year in municipal taxes, on top of a separate $300-plus increase already coming from the Morris School District budget. The Town Council will review and potentially amend the budget before a final vote expected next month.
