Morris School District Adopts $155M Budget, See Tax Increases

The Morris School District Board of Education has adopted a $155.7 million budget for 2026-27, bringing a 3.5 percent tax increase that works out to roughly $331 more per year for the average Morristown homeowner and about $78 more for Morris Township residents. The budget trims 28 staff positions to reflect an enrollment drop of around 225 middle and high school students, though officials say class sizes and elective offerings should stay the same.
