Morris County Chief Walks Into Retirement After 30-Year Career

After more than 30 years in law enforcement, Morris County Chief of Detectives Robert “Bob” McNally walked out of the Morris County Administration and Records Building on Friday to a sendoff attended by prosecutors, the county sheriff, and fellow officers. McNally started his career with the U.S. Customs Service in 1996, joined the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office in 2003, and rose to chief of detectives in 2023, earning a framed Resolution of Honor recognizing both his law enforcement service and his time as a U.S. Marine.
