Morris Co. Police Chief Saves Drowning Girl, 11, While Vacationing

Riverdale Police Chief Chuck Quant was vacationing in Holmes Beach, Florida, on July 25 when he spotted an 11-year-old girl unresponsive in the ocean and pulled her from the water. He administered CPR until she was breathing on her own, and the Holmes Beach Police Department has since sent him a formal letter of appreciation for the off-duty rescue.
