Morris Co. Cop Charged With Assault, Stalking, Court Docs Say

A Florham Park patrol officer, Gregory M. Dietz, 34, has been charged with second-degree aggravated assault, stalking, harassment, and trespassing after allegedly attacking a Roseland woman he had been pursuing romantically. According to court records, he entered her home uninvited and, after she refused a kiss, slapped her and choked her until she blacked out. The Florham Park Police Department has declined to comment, and it is unclear whether Dietz has been suspended.
