Morris Co. Bank Robber Nabbed By FBI, Officials Say

Joseph Sawyer, 52, of Townsend, Massachusetts, was arrested by the FBI’s Albany SWAT team after allegedly robbing Chase Bank in Boonton on June 27, walking out with $12,000 at gunpoint while dressed in a suit and tie. He’s also accused of hitting a New Hampshire bank two weeks earlier, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office in New Hampshire is handling the prosecution.
