More NJ Power Outages After 2nd Storm As More Severe Storms, Flood Threat Looms
New Jersey is getting hit from all sides this weekend: over 120,000 customers were still without power Sunday morning after a second round of storms Saturday night knocked out electricity in areas that had just gotten it back, with some outages in Morris and Monmouth counties not expected to be resolved until Wednesday. If that’s not enough, more severe storms, heavy rain, and flash flooding are forecast for Sunday evening and into Monday, with a heat index near 100 degrees making the wait even more miserable for those without AC.
