Man Who Robbed NY Jet At Gunpoint Sentenced In Morristown

Noah Shaffer, 26, of Paterson, was sentenced to five years in prison for his role in the February 2025 armed robbery of a New York Jets player outside his Morristown home. Shaffer and three masked accomplices followed the player’s car from New York City nightclubs for about six hours before blocking his driveway and demanding his $10,000 watch, wallet, and cash at gunpoint. Phone records tied Shaffer to the scene, and he accepted a plea deal on a second-degree conspiracy charge, along with a $3,000 restitution order.
