Man Who Killed Woman In Morris Co. Crash Faces Judge

Matthew Vining, 29, of Chatham Township, was sentenced Friday after pleading guilty to reckless vehicular homicide for striking and killing a pedestrian with his Ford F-150 on Fairmount Avenue in Chatham Borough on January 2. Vining told police his windshield was fogged up and obscured his view of the person on the shoulder of the road. His sentence includes 364 days in Morris County Correctional Facility, three years of probation, 80 hours of community service, and a six-month license suspension.
