Lightning Strike Sets South Jersey Bakery Ablaze

A lightning strike during Tuesday’s severe thunderstorms set Tis So Sweet Bakery in Maple Shade ablaze, forcing the shop to close temporarily for cleanup and repairs. The fire also spread damage to the neighboring L & S Chocolates and Cannon’s Candy & Cake, which suffered smoke damage, water damage, and a partial roof collapse, prompting a temporary shutdown by the Burlington County Health Department. No injuries were reported.
