ICE Prison In North Jersey Is Officially Nixed, Feds Say

The planned ICE detention center at a Roxbury warehouse is officially dead, with federal attorneys confirming in a June 29 court filing that the government no longer intends to convert the site and will sell it instead. Governor Mikie Sherrill and Attorney General Jennifer Davenport called it “a major victory,” crediting their legal challenge with forcing the administration’s hand.
