Hundreds Of Noncitizens Voted In NJ Due To MVC Error, Sherrill Says
A software glitch in New Jersey’s Motor Vehicle Commission system mistakenly registered about 6,600 noncitizens to vote between June 2023 and June 2024, with fewer than 400 actually casting ballots, Gov. Mikie Sherrill announced Tuesday. Sherrill has ordered an investigation, directed that the bad registrations be removed from the rolls, and said the MVC is replacing the vendor behind the flawed system.
