Firefighter Hospitalized After Battling 3-Alarm Blaze In North Jersey

A three-alarm fire destroyed a home on Oak Ridge Road in West Milford on Monday, leaving one firefighter hospitalized with minor injuries and the structure a total loss. The home was unoccupied when crews arrived, and neighbors rescued two dogs from the burning building before fire departments spent more than three hours bringing the blaze under control. A GoFundMe for the Vecchio family has raised more than $10,000 so far to help with temporary housing and other needs while the fire marshal’s office investigates the cause.
