A fire tore through the IHOP on Route 17 in Hasbrouck Heights early Monday morning, causing severe damage to the building before crews brought it under control around 9 a.m. Route 17 South at Franklin Avenue remained closed following the blaze, and the cause of the fire had not yet been determined.
