Ex-Smoke Shop Owner Admits To Illegally Selling Weed In Sussex County

Devin Pupo, a Sparta smoke shop owner, pleaded guilty to running what was basically an unlicensed weed operation out of Green Remedies on Sparta Avenue, a store that was only supposed to sell hemp products. Police seized 20 pounds of marijuana, nearly $478,000 in cash, and a Chevy Suburban during their investigation, all tied to the illegal sales. Sentencing is set for January 15.
