Elusive Emu On The Lamb In North Jersey Finds New Home

After two weeks of playing hard to get in the woods of Byram, Sussex County’s runaway emu has finally been captured near Colby Drive thanks to what the Hopatcong Animal Shelter called “patience, teamwork, and determination.” Locals kept the bird in the area by feeding it apples and even set up a temporary shelter while animal experts planned the catch. The emu has now found a permanent home at Space Farms Zoo and Museum.
