Elusive Emu On The Lam In North Jersey Finds New Home

After two weeks of roaming the woods of Byram in Sussex County, a runaway emu was finally captured near Colby Drive thanks to what officials called “patience, teamwork, and determination.” Locals helped keep the bird in the area by feeding it apples and even setting up a temporary shelter, and the emu has since found a permanent home at Space Farms Zoo & Museum.
