Drunken Morris Co. Driver Responsible For Fatal Wrong-Way Crash, Jury Finds

A jury found Victor Peters, 46, of Parsippany guilty of first-degree aggravated manslaughter and second-degree vehicular homicide for a drunk driving crash on I-80 in February 2025 that killed Destinn McKnight, 31, of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. Peters, who was driving east in the westbound lanes when he struck McKnight’s pickup truck head-on, faces several decades in prison at his September 11 sentencing.
