A phone scam is making the rounds in Morris County where callers pose as Sheriff’s Office officials, warn residents of a fake arrest warrant for missing jury duty, and pressure them to pay up fast. The Sheriff’s Office wants everyone to know it will never demand payment over the phone via gift cards, Bitcoin, wire transfers, or anything similar.
