Camping Trip Argument Ends With NJ Man Torching Girlfriend, Leaving Her For Dead, Affidavit Says

A 36-year-old Saddle Brook man, Justin D. Martin, is charged with attempted murder and aggravated arson after his girlfriend was burned and left in the Pinelands woods following a camping trip on October 15. The woman, who suffered smoke inhalation and serious burns, was found by a worker in the woods and flown to a burn center; Martin was arrested that evening in Asbury Park.
