Boy Vanishes In Ocean During Jersey Shore Class Trip, Authorities Say

A 14-year-old boy, Davoris Carter, went missing in the ocean near Wildwood on Monday afternoon during a class trip for special needs students. Rescue efforts involving police, the Coast Guard, and state police continued after beachside searching was suspended, and no lifeguards were on duty at the time.
