Bernardsville Dog Found Safe After 32 Days On The Run

Hardy the dog pulled off a 32-day solo adventure through Central Jersey after slipping out of a collar at a Bernardsville boarding facility, covering communities from Millington to Dunellen before searchers from Buddha Dog Rescue and Recovery finally caught him in a trap in Piscataway at 3:20 a.m. The straight-line distance from escape to capture was about 15 miles, though Hardy’s wandering route covered considerably more ground. A happy ending, and proof that a good search team (and a midnight trap run to Blairstown) can make all the difference.
