Barnegat Man Killed Wife Before Stabbing Self: Prosecutor

Barnegat police responded to a domestic violence call on September 7 and found Eileen Garvin, 69, dead and her husband William Garvin, 67, seated in a chair with a self-inflicted stab wound to his chest. Garvin has been charged with murder and is in stable condition at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, where he was served with a complaint-warrant pending his transfer to Ocean County Jail.
