Bald Eagle Rescued By Concerned North Jersey Citizen, Taken To Rehab

A concerned citizen spotted an injured bald eagle in a Sussex County parking lot on July 30 and called Sparta police, who brought in Animal Control Officer Don Critchlaw to transport the bird to the Raptor Trust in Long Hill Township. Authorities suspect the eagle clipped an electrical wire and hurt its wing, and the bird is currently recovering at the rehab facility with hopes of returning to the wild.
